Massive white pines are milled on two faces, down to 10 inches in thickness.These exposed faces are then hand adzed using a tool called an adze this removes all of the mill marks and textures the surface of the log.the logs are then measured and cut to obtain a precision fit on each corner using compound dovetail joinery.This style also leaves gaps between the logs that needs to be filled after the final erection, using spray foam , styro foam and chinking.
